Create Custom Branding in Nutanix Kubernetes Platform

Nutanix Kubernetes Platform (NKP) helps organizations deploy, manage, and operate Kubernetes clusters across on-premises and cloud environments. Its centralized console gives platform teams a consistent place to manage clusters and supporting services. Custom banners let you personalize that experience with corporate branding, support contact information, and operational notices.
In this walkthrough, I’ll show you how to add your company’s logo to the header and display a production support number in the footer. Then I’ll update the footer with a maintenance notice so users can see which application is affected and when it should be available again.
1. Open the banner settings
In the NKP console, open Settings → Banners. The header and footer have separate controls. Enable the one you want to configure.

The Banners page before configuration. Show Header and Show Footer are both unchecked.
2. Add a logo to the header
Select the checkbox beside Show Header.

Under Logo, select Browse Files. Prepare a PNG, SVG, or JPEG no larger than 200 KB. For this example, I used the 79 KB white Nutanix PNG and chose a purple background so the white lettering would stand out.

I entered #7855FA in the header’s Color field, but you can also use the color picker. Leave Text empty for a logo-only header, or add an environment label such as Production Kubernetes. Header text is centered and limited to 100 characters, including spaces.

Select Save and check the top-left corner of the console for the new logo.

3. Put the support contact in the footer
Select Show Footer. In the footer’s Text field, enter the number or address your users should contact. Here I used a sample phone number. For a production deployment, replace it with a monitored contact or email. Example:
For Production support call 999 9999
Set the footer color and select Save. Look at the bottom edge of the page to verify the full contact.

4. Use the footer for a maintenance window
On the same page, you can replace the support text with a short notice that names the affected application, date, time window, and time zone.
Scheduled maintenance: App unavailable [Date], [Start Time]--[End Time] [Time Zone].
Select Save. Users can now see the maintenance window at the bottom of the console while the logo stays visible at the top.

With a custom logo, brand colors, and a support contact, your NKP console now reflects your organization and gives users a clear way to reach the platform team. These settings are easy to update as branding or contact details change, helping you keep the console familiar and useful for everyone who relies on it. Helpful Links
